We took the lead within 5 minutes after a smart run from Shane O’Connor got him a chance from the left, for most the angle looked too tight but not for Shane as hit an inch perfect strike that flew in like a bullet for 1-0, a perfect start.
We doubled our lead with more smart play that found Shane in front of goal again and he was cool and composed to slot it under the keeper for 2-0.
We made it 3-0 when Jack Walsh found himself in on goal and he calmly sent the keeper the opposite way and slotted the ball home. Jack was carrying an injury in the period of his last game and he marked his return to the 11 with his 3rd goal of the season.
Tramore then had a very nice spell where they were on top and were threatening to get back into the game. But we dealt with the pressure and with the last kick of the half Shane O’Connor poked home his hat trick through a mountain of bodies to make it 4-0 at half time.
A 5th goal came soon after half time when Shane O'Connor once again applied a cool finish.
Shane O’Connor grabbed his 5th goal and our 6th when his powerful strike was unable to be held by the keeper.
Daniel Mihalache then grabbed his 2nd of the season when he went on a mazy run and he hit a very powerful strike past the keeper which made it 7-0 to us.
Glen Kavanagh made it 8-0 when another powerful strike that took a small deflection when into the net which gave last years top scorer his fourth goal of the season.
Good play from Jamie Robinson was followed by a powerful strike that but the crossbar but luckily bounced down to give Paddy Spillane his first goal of the season to make it 9.
And we rounded off the scoring when an unfortunate error by the Tramore keeper allowed Don Casey to grab an easy finish for 10.
The lads on the sideline were particularly pleased for subs Paddy and Don who are two excellent trainers and both got their first goal of the season, for Don his first goal for the club since arriving in the summer.
So a good win and massive 3 points for the lads, credit to Tramore, a very youthful side who tried their best, while the scoreline is strong for us it shouldn’t dishearten the young Tramore side who are having a good season and are picking up good results, and in years to come will most definitely improve as experience grows, we wish they the best of luck for the season.
For ourselves we have no fixture released at the moment but a big run in is coming, the most important thing is to stay grounded and when we win don’t get ahead of ourselves, 6 cup final style games to go and all support is welcome!
