The opening 15 minutes were frustrating as a number of attempts couldn’t find the net, most notably a young Tramore keeper making good saves from Conor Hennessy and Jack Quinn.
With the Tramore keeper in fine form we needed something special to beat him and we finally took the lead when a Conor Hennesey rocket flew into the top corner, despite a strong hand from the keeper there was no keeping out this powerful strike which sees Conor back amongst the goals again.
Just minutes later we found ourselves 2-0 up and again it was another goal of the season contender, a great run from Shane O’Connor had him closed down with him going away from goal due to the pressure of the Tramore defence, however Shane with the cheekiest of backheels had enough power to squirm its way in, a piece of genius from the no.9!
The third goal came when Shane held up the ball well and patiently waited for support to arrive and on came Daniel Mihalache who cut in and cooly placed an effort into the far bottom corner for 3.
The fourth goal then come when a great ball saw Jack Walsh latch onto it and he smashed a rocket of an effort into the top corner from the edge of the box to see us take a 4-0 lead into half time!
Tramore kept us frustrated at the start of the second half as a change of shape worked in their favour but we did eventually get the 5th when Conor Hennessy made a good run and his strike across the goal found the bottom corner.
And we’d have a sixth not long later when Conor scored another similar goal to the fifth, another good strike into the bottom corner across goal which saw him claim his second hat-trick of the season.
The final goal came when Conor Houlihan done well 1v1 against the defender, his strike was well saved but Jamie Regan was there to smash home the rebound for 7-0!
A great win for the lads as the season approaches to an end, the best we’ve played in sometime. Special mention to Adam Daniels who was our stand in keeper in the absence of Kieran and he played very well and records a clean sheet!
It’s a quick turnaround as the boys are back in action today in their penultimate game of the season at 6:30 when we travel to Mooncoin Celtic.
