Luke Flynn heads to England

We’d like to wish the very best of luck to our own Luke Flynn as he departs us today to join up with Sky Bet League Two side Southend United as part of his WIT college course. Luke will work in off the field roles and is sure to learn and experience a lot.

Luke was one of the first people to get behind and drive on the application to once again see this club compete in Waterford football, he was our captain last year and helped manage the team also. He scored two goals in eight appearances before the season was halted. Despite leaving us this season he took some big pressure off us and helped put on a great pre season for the squad.

He’ll be missed by all and we hope we can welcome him back next season. Good luck Luke and enjoy it!
